Hey there, I’m Priska
I was in the 5th year of my career in a University (as a full-time lecturer and manager of a language center) when I found what I’d really like to do.
In 2018, a colleague and I saw the gaping hole in communication between the Department and the current and future students. So we set up an Instagram account and brainstormed a rough content plan, and played the rest by ear.
It was a whole new world to explore; I learned to wear many hats to keep the account interesting and interactive for the Gen-Z students. I planned, interviewed, took pictures, and designed the content, and replied comments and messages from students, alumnae, and parents.
The account was a success.
This also made me realize that I really enjoyed managing and creating content, and decided to pursue a career as a content manager/creator.
The desire to keep learning and challenging myself has given me the needed push to learn different languages, go backpacking to 18 countries, and leave friends, family, and a comfortable job to move to a new country on the other side of the world in search of The Great Perhaps[1] and so far I am loving it.
[1] It is a famous last words of Francois Rabelais, a French poet. Rabelais said “I go to seek a Great Perhaps.”
